<p>Also known as Copper Beech this makes a stunning specimen hedge. It is fast-growing and has oval to elliptic, glossy, dark purple leaves turning rich copper in autumn. The russet-brown leaves stay on the hedge all winter providing interest and screening. The old leaves fall off in mid-spring when the new leaves emerge.</p><p>Prune Beech hedges in late summer to ensure that the crisp brown winter leaves stay on during the winter.</p><p>Ultimate height: 30m. Suitable for a hedge height of 1m to 3 m.</p><p>Aspect:Full sun to partial shade</p><p>Soil: Moist but well-drained</p>
