Acer palmatum ‘Bloodgood’ C6.5

Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' C6.5

Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' is a bushy, deciduous Japanese maple admired for its deep redpurple, pointed, lobed leaves that keep their colour well through summer before turning vivid red in autumn. In spring it bears small purple flowers, followed by red winged fruits. Grow in a sheltered position in sun or light shade, in fertile, moist but welldrained soil that is slightly acidic to neutral. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, making it a reliable choice for Irish gardens as a striking specimen with strong seasonal colour.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
Position:<
