<h2>Saxifraga Saxony Red</h2><p>Saxifraga Saxony Red is a compact mossy saxifrage forming tight, evergreen cushions of small, bright green leaves, topped by masses of vivid red, cup-shaped flowers in spring. Well suited to Irish gardens, it thrives in partial shade in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, moderately fertile soil that is neutral to acid. Its low, mounded habit makes it ideal for rock gardens, troughs, the front of borders and for crevices or wall edges where it can gently soften stone and paving.</p><p><strong> To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall).
