Viola ‘Dawn’

Viola 'Dawn'

Viola 'Dawn' is a compact, mound-forming viola well suited to containers, window boxes and the front of borders. In Irish gardens it does best in full sun or light shade with a moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Regular deadheading helps to keep plants tidy and encourages a long succession of blooms; water consistently in dry spells and feed container-grown plants during the growing season. Protect from waterlogging over winter and lightly tidy old growth in early spring to refresh the clump, which typically reaches around 1520cm in height with a similar spread.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
<st
